Axe Throwing Coach

This is not your typical part time job.  Northern Axeposure is hiring Axe Coaches.  We are looking for out-going, energetic people to work in our fun and safe facility.  Axe throwing experience is not required (we will teach you if needed).  The ideal candidate is a real people person with a sense of humor, has excellent communications skills even in a loud environment, and is excited about learning and teaching the sport of axe throwing.  Candidates must be leaders with confidence to take charge in group settings, manage thrower safety in a positive manner, and be able to interact with multiple groups at the same time while ensuring a fun / safe experience. Above all, we’re looking for  responsible and dependable team members.

Specific Duties Include:

1. SAFETY: Review the rules with throwers. Make certain all participants are throwing / acting in a safe manner.  Correct any situations as needed.

2. Coaching: demonstrate proper throwing techniques.  Work with individuals as needed to ensure they have a positive experience.

3. Facility Prep: ensure the facility, lanes and equipment are always ready for customers.

4. Customer Service: make certain customers are taken care of from the moment they arrive until they leave our facility.

5. Other duties:

   • Replace target boards as needed - must be able to use a drill and saw

   • Draw targets

   • Take group pictures with a cell phone

   • Assist customers with questions/concerns

   • Operate Point of Sale and booking systems

   • Answer phone calls

   • Light cleaning

   • Other duties to support the smooth operations of the facility

   • Manage and or assist with leagues

Requirements:

Must be 21 years old.

Ability to work nights, weekends, and some holidays. Weekend availability is a must as this is our peak time. 

Ability to stand up to 8 hours a day with or without accommodation.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs repeatedly. 

Must pass a background check.

Part Time: 10-20 hours per week
